With Family and Friends”
By Kevin A. Drakeford, Esq.

Saturday, June 23, 2007
8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
3rd Annual Minority Franchise Buyers Conference
Columbia University

Not sure owning a small business franchise is for you, think about this:

  • Right now, more than 178 franchisors are actively wooing Blacks, Latinos, and Asians with generous incentives and discounts.
  • Since franchises are based on a proven method and an established brand, it’s often easier to obtain funding than for a regular start-up.
  • 28% of all franchises need less than a $50,000 investment; 52.5% require less than a $100,000.
  • Franchises can also be part-time, sideline or home-based opportunities, and span 75 industries from food to professional services to retailing.
  • 92% of franchised businesses are still around after 5 years while only 23% of new small businesses survive that long.

The point is: you’re closer to becoming a small business owner than you know and the Minority Franchise Buyers Conference is here to help.
